We all know that in women’s tennis quite often (and unfortunately) the handshakes after the match are not as warm as they should be. Yesterday in Qatar it was a bit ugly.
What happened?
Venus Williams won a rough match against Barbora Zahlavova Strycova 7-5 3-6 7-6 (5) after saving a match point. (The match ended 1am. Match Stats)
Barbora wasn’t very happy about some accurate challenges by Venus during the 3rd set tiebreak.
So, after losing the match, Barbora gave a rather aggressive stare at Venus. After the ritual handshake with chair umpire Venus had a question…
