Tough luck for Serena Williams in Indian Wells where she will face a brutal draw from the very beginning.

In fact, the American legend after her 1st round bye she will face the following players

R2  – Azarenka (most dangerous floater?)
R3  – Muguruza
R4  – Bertens
1/4 – Stephens
1/2 – Halep
Fin  – Osaka

Currently ranked no.10, Serena has won the title in the desert in 1999 and 2001 and she was the runner-up in 2016.

By definition, Serena is always considered among the top favorites to win a tournament, but this is going to be extremely tough for the American.
