Stefanos Tsitsipas officially world no.10, Federer back to no.4

Stefanos, Roger, and Nick Kyrgios advance in the rankings

Last week was rather eventful as the ATP500 in Dubai and Acapulco delivered a lot of impressive results with some movements in the rankings.

Tsitsipas

Stefanos reached the final in Dubai before losing to Roger Federer. That gave 300 points to the Greek that also won the title in Marseille the week before. This means that Stefanos broke in the top10 (career high). Tsitsipas has virtually no points to defend in Indian Wells and Miami as he lost in the second round in the desert and he crashed out in the 1st round in Florida back in 2018.

Federer

The Swiss sensation won his 100th title in Dubai after playing fantastic tennis in the last 2 matches. After this win, Roger goes up 3 places to the new world no.4. That is a significant achievement ahead of Indian Wells as being seeded no.4 Federer will not clash against Novak Djokovic,  Rafael Nadal, or Sascha Zverev in before a hypothetical semifinal.

It’s Federer no.100!

Kyrgios

Nick stunned the tennis world after he conquered the ATP500 in Acapulco after defeating Rafael Nadal, Stan Wawrinka, John Isner, and Sascha Zverev in sequence. After this title, the Australian goes up 39 places in the rankings to be the new world no.33.
