Nadal solid to the Rio quarters

Rafael Nadal gets to the quarters in Rio defeating  a very good Pablo Carreno Busta in the 2nd  round.  The most difficult part for Rafa was winning the opening set recovering a 1 break deficit to grab the opener 7-5 after 73 minutes.

In the second set Rafa won the decisive break in the 8th game to win the match 7-6 6-3. Rafa got this match scoring just 5 points more than Pablo (76 vs 71). The King of Clay was not as perfect as he usual to convert just 3 break points of 11. Match Stats.

Rafa commented “[I’m] just trying to play my best in every single point. A little bit up and down, but I found a way to be through to a quarter-final. I’m happy for that.”

The quarters vs. Cuevas

Rafa will play world no. 23 Pablo Cuevas. This is the 1st time they play each other.
