At the Eastbourne International, Francisco Cerundolo of Argentina won his second ATP Tour championship by defeating American Tommy Paul 6-4, 1-6, 6-4.

After Friday’s semifinal matches were postponed due to weather, Cerundolo completed his semifinal victory over Mackenzie McDonald by winning the lone game he needed. The Frenchman Gregoire Barrere was then defeated by Paul with ease in straight sets, although he was unsuccessful against world number 19.

Cerundolo’s sole prior victory occurred on the clay of Bastad the previous year.
