Although Carlos Alcaraz isn’t the best player on grass, Stefanos Tsitsipas has rarely seen a player with such potential. And for this reason, the Greek clarified, Alcaraz will be challenging to defeat at Wimbledon and elsewhere. At the US Open in 2021, Alcaraz overcame Stefanos Tsitsipas in five sets by showcasing his talent. He would win the trophy and top the world rankings a year later, accomplishments that currently elude the Greek.

Tsitsipas discussed Alcaraz, who defeated him in all five of their ATP Tour encounters, in a recent interview with AS. This year, Alcaraz won both of the matches against the world no.5 in straight sets.

Stefanos commented: “Carlos has shown us that tennis is a more intense sport than we expected. Rafa brought something new with his tennis. I think Carlos, now, is young blood, he runs very fast, he hits the ball very hard. One of the most talented players I have ever seen. He’s going to be hard to beat. I know he is very good.”
