Carlos Alcaraz has many admirers, one of them is Petra Kvitova. During a recent interview with flashscore, the Czech champion was asked to comment on men’s tennis. Petra was very quick in revealing that she likes the tennis game of Carlos Alcaraz a lot and she is very happy to notice that he can follow in the footsteps of great champions such as Federer and Nadal.

Petra commented: “I watch, I like Alcaraz a lot. He’s playing great tennis, the way he moves, the things he returns. And in what a way! It’s something beautiful, he can serve, he can volley.

The game he’s showing is really great, and I’m glad someone like that is going to follow in the footsteps of Federer and Nadal. That’s important for the whole of tennis.”

Now the world no.9, the Czech played her last match on the 25^th of June when she defeated world no.20 Donna Vekic 6-2 7-6(6) in the final in Berlin to win her 31^st

career title.

This season Kvitova has an overall 22-7 match record. The Czech clinched 2 titles in 2023 in Miami and Berlin.

Currently ranked no.1, Alcaraz played his last match on the 25^th of June when he overcame world no.16 Alex De Minaur 6-4 6-4 in the final in London to win his 11^th career title.

Until now, during this year the Spaniard has an overall 40-4 record. Carlos has won 5 titles in 2023 in Buenos Aires, Indian Wells, Barcelona, Madrid and London. Alcaraz got to the final in Rio de Janeiro.

Alcaraz is scheduled to play next at the Wimbledon (Wimbledon). He will start from the main draw that will commence on the 3rd of July.
