Roger Federer has announced his schedules from here till Wimbledon and there is a big surprise: the Maestro won’t play in Miami!

Roger’s manager, Tony Godsick, explained to Miami Herald why Roger chose this schedule “He has to play a schedule that works for him physically, that makes sense with his family, so he had to change it up,”. Then he added “It’s sad for Roger not to play in Miami, a place he likes and which has been so successful. In August, however, turns 34 years old and he cannot play all the tournaments.”

The tournament director: We are disappointed

Adam Barrett said “I am sure all of Roger’s fans in Miami are saddened he will not be returning for the Miami Open this year. As a two-time champion we are disappointed he did not place Miami on his schedule. We certainly wish him luck for the rest of the year. We look forward to hosting an outstanding tournament with a tremendous player field including 49 of the top-50 men and all 75 of the top-ranked women.”

Roger will play next week in Dubai where he is going to defend his title.
