Alcaraz modifies his schedule and declines to play against Rune and Thiem in Hurlingham. Up until the start of Wimbledon, Carlos Alcaraz won’t play any more matches. The 20-year-old tennis prodigy and his coaching team made the decision to skip the Hurlingham exhibition match after he had some mild adductor pain during the Queen’s final match against Alex De Minaur.
After Carlitos decided not to play against Holger Rune, he was still scheduled for Friday’s matchup with Dominic Thiem. Alcaraz has, however, decided to forfeit also his match against the Austrian along with his squad.
In order to prepare for the third Grand Slam event of the year, the current US Open champion is predicted to begin working out once more in the All England Club facilities.
Carlos Alcaraz in 2023
Currently ranked no.1, Carlos played his last match on the 25th of June when he beat world no.16 Alex De Minaur 6-4 6-4 in the final in London to win his 11th career title.
This season Carlos has managed to achieve a composed 40-4 match record. Alcaraz has won 5 titles in 2023 in Buenos Aires, Indian Wells, Barcelona, Madrid and London. Carlos was the runner-up in Rio de Janeiro.
Alcaraz has scheduled to compete next at the Wimbledon (Wimbledon). He will start the tournament from the main draw that will commence on the 3rd of July.
Holger Rune in 2023
Now ranked no.6 (career-high), Holger played his last match on the 24th of June when he lost to world no.16 Alex De Minaur 6-3 7-6(2) in the semifinal in London (draw).
Currently, during this season Rune achieved a composed 33-12 win-loss record. This year, the Dane lifted the trophy in Munich. Holger reached the final in Monte-Carlo and Rome.
Rune has scheduled to play next at the Wimbledon (Wimbledon). He will start from the main draw that will commence on the 3rd of July.
Carlos Alcaraz and Holger Rune faced off only on 2 occasions. Their current record is 1-1. Before, the last time they locked horns, Holger Rune won 6-3 6-6 ret. in the quarter in Paris (Rolex Paris Masters) in November 2022.

Dominic Thiem in 2023
Currently the world no.90, Thiem played his last match on the 20th of June when he was overcome by world no.21 Alexander Zverev 6-3 6-4 in the 1st round in Halle (draw).
This season Thiem has a 12-19 match record. Dominic Thiem’s best performance of the present year was getting to the semifinal in the Mauthausen Challenger.
