Tennis fans are not impressed with Matteo Berrettini’s practice for Wimbledon.

Matteo Berrettini, 2021 Wimbledon runner-up, had to shorten his clay court season due to an oblique injury. Berrettini declined to compete in any other tournaments before Wimbledon to recover. Fans are concerned about his fitness.

2021 Wimbledon runner-up Matteo Berrettini has been struggling with all sorts of injuries for his entire career. Unfortunately, the Italian champion had to cut short his clay court season after struggling with an oblique injury.

Matteo did not appear to be fully fit for the grass season, and he badly crashed out in his opening match in Stuttgart at the hands of his dear friend Lorenzo Sonego. Later on, the Italian player declined to compete in any other tournament before Wimbledon in order to try to recover and have a good run at SW 19.

Nevertheless, Berrettini did not appear to be in his explosive form in a video posted on the Wimbledon social media account. His fans are concerned about his fitness. Here is the video.

Now the world no.37, Berrettini played his last match on the 12th of June when he lost to world no.40 Lorenzo Sonego 6-1 6-2 in the 1st round in Stuttgart (draw).

During this season Matteo has managed to achieve a composed 9-8 record. Matteo Berrettini’s most significant achievement of this year was reaching the final in Australia.

Berrettini will compete next at the Wimbledon (Wimbledon). He will start the tournament from the main draw that will commence on the 3rd of July.
