Rafael Nadal is currently away from the tennis court recovering in preparation for what could be his last year in 2024, but he may have made headlines for the wrong reasons.
As a result of recent surgery, Nadal will not be attending Wimbledon this week, yet he was seen posing with the controversial spiritual guru Sadhguru. His opinions are seen as controversial because he is recognized for promoting so-called pseudoscience. The Hindu guru referred to the pair in a social media post as an inspiration with the following post.
Nevertheless, this was not well received by tennis fans, who also used it to criticize Novak Djokovic, who of course refused to get the Covid vaccine and has previously been observed interacting with those involved in pseudoscience.
“Disastrous slip by Nadal’s pr! should have done their homework before saying yes,” a fan wrote.
