Coco Gauff announced her breakup with coach Diego Moyano at a news conference prior to the Porsche Tennis Grand Prix in Stuttgart in April.

The 19-year-old made it clear that Moyano made the decision to end their relationship and that she was struggling with some personal challenges. Gauff praised her time with Moyano and said that she understood his plight despite their sudden separation. Pere Riba, a former Spanish tennis player, has now been employed by Coco Gauff. Riba will start his coaching position at Eastbourne in preparation for the Wimbledon Championships.

Now ranked no.7, Gauff played her last match on the 22^nd of June when she capitulated to world no.22 Ekaterina Alexandrova 6-4 6-0 in the 2^nd round in Berlin (draw).

Currently, during this season Coco has achieved an overall 24-10 match record. Gauff clinched 1 title in Auckland.
