H2H Roger Federer vs. Stefanos Tsitsipas

Roger Federer and Stefanos Tsitsipas are going to fight for the Dubai final on Saturday at 7 pm.

Federer

Roger is 1 step from winning his 100th title that is a fantastic milestone. The Swiss sensation didn’t play his best tennis this week in Dubai with the notable exception of the semifinal when he conceded just 4 games to the world no.13 Borna Coric in a match that lasted only 67 minutes. The final score was a straight 6-2 6-2.

Tsitsipas

Stefanos conquered his 8th consecutive match in Dubai after he won the title in Marseille and he reached the final in the Emirates. Tsitsipas has been performing exceptionally well even if he looks exhausted for the amount of tennis that he has played for the last 2 weeks.

The Greek won a very tricky semifinal against a very good Gael Monfils after recovering from a 4-6  1-3 deficit. Eventually, Tsitsipas found his way to win the encounter 4-6 7-6 (4) 7-6 (4) in 2 hours and 59 minutes. After this match, Stefanos is sure he will break in the top10 at the beginning of next week.

The official head to head is 1-0 for Tsitsipas after the Greek beat Roger in the 4th round of this year’s Australian Open. However, we can’t ignore that a few weeks before, Roger beat Stefanos at the “unofficial” Hopman Cup.

Who is the favorite

Stefanos has been playing a tennis that is probably better than Roger’s in the last 2 weeks. However, the Swiss really impressed with his performance against Coric and the Greek looks deeply tired. For this reason, Federer seems to be the favorite to win his 100th title.
