Genie Bouchard will start a new phase of her young career in Antwerp.

The young Canadian has just started a new partnership with her new coach Sam Sumyk and the first stop is in Belgium. Genie will be the seed no.1 and she is the hot favorite for the title.

The other top seeds are Kerber (world no.10), Petkovic (no.12), Safarova (no.15), Suarez Navarro

(no. 17), Cibulkova (no.18), Cornet (no.19) and Pliskova (no.22).

This is the first time since 2008 that are playing again this event in Antwerp. The defending champion in Justin Henen that defeated Karin Knapp in the 2008 final 6-3 6-3.
