The qualifiers have been placed in the main draw of the ATP 500, which will kick off next week in London at the Queen’s Club. Carlos Alcaraz will face French rising star Arthur Fils in the first round. This is the draw with all the qualifiers.
Carlos Alcaraz in 2023
At the moment ranked no.2, the Spaniard played his last match on the 9th of June when he was overcome by world no.1 Novak Djokovic 6-3 5-7 6-1 6-1 in the semifinal of the French Open (draw).
At the moment, during this season Alcaraz owns a composed 35-4 win-loss record. The Spaniard clinched 4 titles in 2023 in Buenos Aires, Indian Wells, Barcelona and Madrid. Alcaraz was the runner-up in Rio de Janeiro.
Arthur Fils in 2023
Currently the world no.66, Fils played his last match on the 18th of June when he overcame world no.90 Alexei Popyrin 5-7 7-6(2) 7-6(3) in the qualifications in London (draw).
This season Arthur has managed to achieve an overall 28-11 match record. The French player has won 2 titles in 2023 in the Oeiras 2 Challenger and Lyon. Arthur reached the final in the Quimper Challenger.
He is also scheduled to play in Eastbourne (Rothesay International) on the 26th of June and Wimbledon (Wimbledon) on the 3rd of July.
