Top20 is Kyrgios’ goal for this season

Nick Kyrgios is rising and he has set his main goal for the season. According to his coach, Todd Larkham, the young Australian aims at ending the current season within the top 20.

Larkham: Nick aims in top 20…

Nick’s coach stated “Nick wasn’t 100 per cent fit for the Australian Open, he had a lack of rotation in hitting his backhand,

He was in quite a bit of pain during and after matches. He played injured but still managed to make the quarters. There’s no doubt at 100 per cent fit he could have played better. It was definitely worth playing, it was definitely worth going through the pain.

It’s setting up from a rankings point of view for the year to make a real push to make it to the top 20. The goal is to get back fit, but we don’t know until we see the MRI and how things progress with the treatment.”

Nick will now rest for 1 month to recover from his injury (see article). Then he is expected to play in Indian wells, Miami, 4 tournaments on clay and then he will start the grass season.

Let’s see what is going to come.
