Roger Federer and Philipp Kohlschreiber are going to play each other in the 1st round in Dubai.

Currently ranked only no.7, Roger had a rather weird season so far. In fact, the Swiss looked to be supremely fit and sharp in the Hopman Cup and the first 3 rounds at the Australian Open. Then the Swiss was defeated by an excellent Stefanos Tsitsipas in the 4th round, and now Roger has only a 3-1 win-loss record while this year at the end of February he won already the Australian Open and Rotterdam and he was ranked no.1. However, Roger’s tennis doesn’t look any worst than what it was 1 year ago, and therefore he is expected to bounce back.
Kohlschreiber
Ranked no.33, Philippdidn;t start that well his 2019. The German has a 4-5 win-loss record, and he lost the last 3 matches. Anyway, Philipp had a good run in Ackland where he reached the semifinals before losing to Tennys Sandgren.
