Stefanos Tsitsipas

Great start for Stefanos Tsitsipas in Marseille where he beat Hubert Hurkacz in straight sets on Wednesday.

The match

Stefanos was in full control of the match to concede no break points in both sets. The Greek won the opener after conquering the decisive break in the 10th game (6-4). The second set was even smoother for the world no.12 that won the last 4 games after dropping just 3 points. The final score was 6-4 6-2, and the match ended after just 50 minutes.

Everything went smooth. TSITSIPAS

After the match, Tsitsipas commented

“It was a good match. I enjoyed it. I am moving on. It is nice to start so well. It was a ‘no-trouble match’. Everything went smooth. Breaks happened when they had to happen. It was a solid match.”

Stefanos will face either Stakhovsky or Barrere in the quarters. Both of them are lucky losers.
