“Djokovic is human. Ruud can beat him,” says Sascha Zverev

Novak Djokovic and Casper Ruud face off for the French Open title, and Alexander Zverev believes Ruud has a shot at upsetting Djokovic.

Zverev About Ruud And Djokovic

On Sunday, Novak Djokovic and Casper Ruud are going to face off for the French Open title. This will be a very important occasion for Novak Djokovic, who can win his 23rd slam so as to be the male tennis player who has won most majors in his career. While it is widely accepted that the Serbian player will be the hot favorite, Alexander Zverev explained why according to him, Casper Ruud has a shot at upsetting Djokovic.

Zverev believed that nerves could play a huge role for Novak: “Is Novak the favourite? Yes, of course. There is no question about it. He knows how it’s done. He knows how to do it.

If I would have to bet money, maybe I wouldn’t bet on Casper too much. Does he have chances? Yes, he does. He’s playing amazing tennis and I think he deserves to be in the final.”

This is the best scenario for Ruud

Talking about Ruud’s chances to beat Djokovic, Sascha added:

“I think it couldn’t be better for Casper. Novak is one of the best players in the world, that’s for sure, but when you’re on the brink of history, I think that adds a little bit of pressure.

You remember the US Open final he had with Medvedev? The pressure, you know, we are all human. Novak is human. We all feel it. So I think for Casper that’s the best scenario.
