Kyrgios saves MP and he wins epic 5 setter

Nick Kyrgios wins another unbelievable match!

The Australian teenager had to face a tough Andreas Seppi (Federer’s conqueror) in the 4th round. Things didn’t look nice at the beginning as Nick lost the first 2 sets to have a mountain to climb. After winning the 3rd set, Kyrgios had to save a match point on his serve in the 4th when he was 5-6 down.  Kyrgios eventually won the game and the following tie-break.

In the 5th set Nick squandered a 3-0 lead after losing his serve at 0 in the 7th game. Eventually the Australian won the decisive break in the 14th game after challenging a call. The final result was 5-7 4-6 6-3 7-6 (5) 8-6.

Kyrgios: It was crazy

Nick commented “It’s crazy. I don’t think it’s sunk in yet. When I saw I had finally won the match it was incredible. It was the best feeling I ever had. To know the body could come back from two sets to love, knowing I haven’t had matches, it’s just massive confidence.

I knew it was going to be a tough battle. He’s playing some of the best tennis he’s played ever since coming off that win against Roger. I knew it was going to be tough from the get-go. I just had to draw on my experiences of coming back from two sets to love. Paid off in the end.”

The quarters vs. Murray

Nick will play Andy Murray in the quarters. Head to head is 1-0 for Andy and that was a tough 6-2 6-2 in Toronto.

Prediction: Murray in 4
