Emma Raducanu, 20, will not be able to compete at the All England Club next month due to her injury issues, thus Vodafone has replaced her as their face of Wimbledon ahead of this year’s competition. Since her spectacular US Open victory in 2021, the young Brit has struggled, and she recently revealed that she will be out for a few months after having surgery on her hands and ankle.

In order to serve as Vodafone’s primary tennis ambassador, Raducanu inked a hefty multi-million dollar endorsement contract back in 2021. In recent weeks, she has participated in advertising campaigns for the multinational communications company. Last month, she gave a one-on-one coaching session to two young tennis players while appearing as a live 5G hologram. But, it appears that her work with Vodafone has since been reduced due to her ongoing injury issues.

Vodafone released the following statement to Daily Mail: “Emma is still one of Vodafone’s valued ambassadors. She will continue to play a key role in our Wimbledon campaign alongside Alfie, Gordon and Jack Draper.”
