Novak Djokovic switches back to “Serbinator mode”!
Nole confirms he is back to his form to annihilate world no.88 Andrey Kuznetsov. Djokovic’s superiority was so awkward that when Andrey managed to win his 1st game in the middle of the 2nd set (he was 0-6 0-3 down) everybody was happy for him (probably even Nole!!!). The Russian went as far as to even break Djokovic in the 2nd game of the third set to lead 2-0. Then the glory ended: Nole wins 4 consecutive games to finally wrap up the match 6-0 6-1 6-4 in just 84 minutes.
Djokovic: The first 2 sets have been great
The world no.1 was particularly happy with his performance in the first 2 sets to comment “First two sets definitely have been great. Overall I executed the game plan. Everything I intended to do, almost 100 per cent, from every second in my game, serve, baseline play, aggressive shots and aggressive returns.
He dropped his first-serve percentage a lot in the second set and obviously allowed me to have a lot of looks at the second serves. That, as well, gave me an opportunity to step in and just swing through the ball.”
