Roger Federer starts in perfect way the first slam of the season.
Roger was always in control in the first round  against world no. 47 Yen-Hsun Lu to give a proper tennis lesson in the first two sets (6-4 6-2). In the 3rd set Roger had to battle a bit as the Taiwanese stepped up a bit, but the Swiss was never in danger. The final result was 6-4 6-2 7-5.
Roger has broken Lu 4 times, but once again his conversion rate was not so good (he had 14 break points). The Maestro conceded 4 break points, but he managed to hold all his service games.

Roger: I think I played at a really good level
Federer was very satisfied with his tennis “I thought it was played at a really good level, it was a tough match and I had to step it up. I’ve played him a few times so I knew what he can do and he didn’t disappoint.
It’s early in the season and it’s tough to get rhythm, especially in the first round, but this court plays nice and we had some great rallies so it was a nice match.”
Next vs. Bolelli
Roger will play Bolelli in the 2nd round. Head to head is 3-0 for Roger that has never conceded a set to the Italian.
