Stefanos Tsitsipas and Denis Shapovalov will compete at the upcoming ATP500 in Rotterdam next week.
Both players didn’t perform that well in the current ATP250 in Sofia (Tsitsipas) and Montpellier (Shapovalov) as both lost as early as in the quarters after receiving a bye in the first round.
Tsitsipas
Stefanos is trying to access the top10. Currently ranked no.12, the Greek lost in the Sofia quarters at the hands of a great Gael Monfils.
In Rotterdam, Tsitsipas will be seeded no.3, and he has the following projected path.
R1Â – Dzumhur
R2Â – Haase/Kukushkin
1/4 – Goffin/Monfils
1/2 – Khachanov/ Medvedev
Fin – Nishikori/Raonic
Last year, Stefanos lost in the first round of the qualifications in Rotterdam at the hands of Martin Klizan.
Shapovalov
Denis had a good start in Montpellier after he defeated an in-form Marcel Granollers. However, the Canadian lost in the following round by Pierre-Hugues Herbert 7-5 7-6 (4).
