Novak Djokovic his back to his stellar levels soon after he rehired his “historical” coaching team in 2018.
The world no.1 had to endure a tough period after he (finally) won the Roland Garros as he was struggling mentally and physically with a tough elbow injury.
Last year the “Serbinator” found his way back to win 3 consecutive slams (Wimbledon, the US Open, and the Australian Open) and bring his overall record to 15 majors. It seems almost obvious that Djokovic will catch Nadal (17 slams) and he has the opportunity to catch also Federer (20 slams).
Why Novak will surpass Federer and Nadal’s record.
Nole’s father, Srdjan Djokovic, is confident that his son will catch both Nadal and Federer to comment
“His wish is that by the end of his tennis career, which will last several more years, he will surpass the records of Nadal and Federer.
He [Novak] is simply too ambitious and too good not to do that. If he hadn’t sustained that injury, we would be a step away from that goal. This way, he is just two steps away. And trust me: he will succeed.”
