Naomi Osaka seems unstoppable right now!

Recently crowned as the new world no.1, the Japanese has won the last 2 slams (US Open and Australian Open), and she has recently declared that she wants to conquer also the Roland Garros.

The Japanese has demonstrated that she can perform at her best on hard courts, but that doesn’t mean that she will not deliver on clay.

Why Naomi Osaka can win the Roland Garros. JIM COURIER

Talking to Channel Nine, Jim Courier said that he wouldn’t be surprised to see Naomi winning also the slam in France to comment

“Can she play on the clay? It will be not her best surface, but we’ve seen players like Maria Sharapova who weren’t necessarily natural on the clay go to Roland Garros and find a way through it and win.”

Last year Naomi lost in the 3rd round of the French Open to Madison Keys 6-1 7-6 (7). She will definitely try to improve that, but before she needs to focus on the next few tournaments on hard courts especially on Indian Wells where she is the defending champion.

I am one of the main columnists for Tennistonic.com. I have been writing about tennis for the last 4 years. My passion for tennis dates back since the days of the Marat Safin challenging Roger Federer. I am a decent club player, but I have never reached those heights 🙂 Interested in the nextgen. Favorite players: Tsitsipas, Shapovalov, Tiafoe, De Minaur, and Coric. Curious to see what it is going to be with Kyrgios even if I am starting to think that he is a lost cause.
