Novak Djokovic conquered his 15th slam in Melbourne after winning a fantastic final against Rafael Nadal.

The world no.1 was absolutely spotless against the Spaniard to win 6-3 6-2 6-3 after conceding almost nothing to his counterpart that also impressed during the entire tournament.

How Novak Djokovic beat Rafael Nadal

Nole used to be coached for a long time by Boris Becker that was also stunned by how good was the Serbian in the final.

Boris explained how Djokovic managed to defeat Rafa to comment

“Rafa started a bit nervous and hesitant and played a poor first couple of games. Once he gave Novak that lead, it was a long way back.

Novak stayed so close to the baseline, hit that backhand like I’ve rarely seen him do before. I don’t think Nadal was allowed to play. He likes longer rallies, he likes to move the opponent around, and that’s exactly what Novak did to him.

He moved Nadal around, he controlled the tempo, the baseline, and Nadal was thrown from left to right.”
