Boris Becker is back in tennis after being freed from prison after finishing his eight-month sentence. Becker claimed in his interview with The Guardian that the “new era” of tennis has begun, with the younger players dominating the competition.

During an interview with the Guardian, the former world no.1 said that in his opinion Carlos Alcaraz, Jannik Sinner, and Holger Rune are about to take the lead.

Becker commented: “It’s already happened. Carlos Alcaraz became World No.1 after winning the US Open last year – that’s your evidence. There are plenty of other young players knocking on the door, including Jannik Sinner and Holger Rune. Then we have to mention the Russians – we don’t like to do so but we have to as they’re good enough,.”
