Tomic has solid win in Sydney

Usually Bernard Tomic finds his best tennis in Australia and this year is not different than the others.

The 22-year-old played a very good match against world no.24 Philipp Kohlschreiber. Bernard was alive and kicking for the entire match without being shy to go for his shots.

The final result was a clean 6-3 6-4 with Bernard breaking the German twice (once per set) without conceding a single break.

After the match Tomic commented “I went for my shots and did the right things and I am very happy with how I played. He’s a very experienced, quality player who has been in the top-20 for a long time.”

Next vs. Muller

Bernard will play Gilles Muller from Luxembourg for a place in the semis. Head to head is 2-0 for Gilles, but Bernard seems to be the favorite.
