Emma Raducanu is still recovering from the wrist injury that has put her season in jeopardy. She had had little success on the hardcourts either, and every week, her ranking was declining. At Stuttgart, Raducanu had just won her first match on clay for the year when she was forced to quit in the second set.
New boyfriend?
According to Emma’s most recent social media post, she is now in Mexico. One of her biggest sponsors, the Dior show, was the reason the 20-year-old was in Mexico City. While her vacation photos did reassure her admirers that she is doing well, several also noticed an enigmatic male traveling with her. The man appeared in a number of the pictures Raducanu uploaded on her official Instagram account. She did not, however, tag her “buddy,” but as soon as the pictures went viral, fan theories and rumors started to spread.
The media has been able to delve into every aspect of Emma Raducanu’s personal and professional life, but the British woman has done a good job of keeping her relationship status a secret. Although being quite active on social media, Raducanu has never discussed her relationships, either present or former. Due to the popularity of her images from Mexico, the Instagram comment section of the post rapidly turned into a forum for debate. While many of her supporters were pleased to see her make a full recovery, some supporters were more curious about the mystery man.
And Carlos Alcaraz?
While one fan hinted at their fan-made romance by saying Carlos Alcaraz would be devastated upon seeing the photos, many others expressed concern over a potential boyfriend. There has been a (completely false?) rumor from some fans that, indeed, Alcaraz has a crush on Emma, but that seems to be utter speculation.
