The Australian Open enjoyed already a record attendance in Melbourne Park with 796,435 people at Melbourne Park during the slam.
Things got even better for the slam as according to the ratings, Naomi’s final against Kvitova was the most watched program in Japan during the Australian Open as it attracted 22.5 million viewers. The peak was during Osaka’s speech at the trophy presentation.
Will Naomi Osaka remain Japanese?
The 16th of October, when the world no.1 will turn 22, Naomi will have to renounce to her dual citizenship (Japanese and American). This is another reason why you can expect that Osaka will “remain” Japanese.
