Naomi Osaka never misses a chance to make people laugh with her funny stories.
Talking to the WTA podcast, the world no.1 disclosed a lovely episode that happened soon after she won the Australian Open following her dramatic win over Petra Kvitova (7-6 5-7 6-4).
On Saturday, Naomi went on doing all the ritual interviews and press conference; then she finally managed to call her mum that like all mothers she was just apprehensive about her daughter that according to Naomi “She didn’t even say congratulations. She just yelled at me to go to sleep. So I felt really loved.”
Finally, Osaka got the deserved congratulations from another member of the family. “And then I called my sister when I got back to the hotel, and she was really happy for me,” Naomi said.
