During the match, Rune was once more jeered by the audience for arguing with chair umpire Mohamed Lahyani following a call that favored Djokovic.

Holger Rune was questioned about how he feels about being referred to as “the bad boy” of the tennis circuit during the press conference following the significant victory over Djokovic. The Dane disagreed, saying that he did not meet the description of a “bad boy,” who is someone who engages in behavior like breaking racquets. Rune, on the other hand, simply views himself as a player with a lot of fire and vigor.
