Naomi Osaka and Petra Kvitova are going to play in the final of the Australian Open. The outcome of this match will not only decide who is going to be the champion but also who is going to be the world no.1 after Melbourne (Naomi or Petra).

Osaka

During this Australian Open, the Naomi has consolidated her status as a top player to “confirm” that her US Open title didn’t come by chance. The Japanese has impressed for showing the mental strength to recover from difficult situations like her match against Hsieh when was very close to defeat. Furthermore, Naomi looked completely comfortable to play important matches like the semifinal against Pliskova.

I fell in love with tennis after the epic 2008 Wimbledon final between Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal. From that moment I started to check all the possible stats and the stories behind the tennis players. I have a huge passion for Roger Federer, a great respect for Rafael Nadal and I am interested in the newcomers. Aryna Sabalenka and Naomi Osaka are my favorite players on the WTA tour.

“Impossible to pick a favorite,”
just because they’ve never met on court???
Just look at their Aussie match stats!
Kvitova has yet to lose a set,
whereas half of Osaka’s matches went the distance!
Huge edge to Kvitova!
