Roger Federer is 1 match away from a couple of great results. First he can win his 83rd title; second he can get his 1000th career win!
The Swiss Maestro didn’t struggle at all against a rather floppy Grigor Dimitrov to win 6-2 6-2 in just 53 minutes. Roger was never really threatened by the Bulgarian to break him twice without ever being challenged on his service game (besides the last one).
Roger on the 1000th win
After the match Roger was asked to comment on the 1000th win milestone “It’s a goal for the season, so I still have time to get to a thousand. I mean, it’s a really big number, no doubt about it. Love to get it tomorrow, especially in the finals in an ATP event where most of my wins have come.
If not tomorrow, I hope it happens at the Australian Open. It would definitely be an incredible milestone to reach.”
The final vs. Raonic
Roger will play Raonic for the title. H2H is 7-1 for Roger that is the favorite. Ask Raonic if he agrees with that.
