Sara Errani and Roberta Vinci their 25th title (doubles) in Auckland after beating Ayoama and Voracova with a rough 6-2 6-1 win.
The Italians had a tough ride to the final after winning a couple of matches rallying from 1 set down in the first 2 rounds.
After the win Roberta Vinci commented “We decide at the beginning of the year and we try to play doubles everywhere, but it’s not easy. Sydney next week s a tough tournament, she [Errani] is in the main draw and I’d have to play qualifying, so I prefer to go to Hobart to play in the main draw.”
