Frances Tiafoe is about to play the AO quarter-final against Rafael Nadal in what is going to be the most important match of his young career.

The American has already defeated top players such as Kevin Anderson and Grigor Dimitrov and he is not intimidated at all at playing the Spanish legend.

Excited to play Nadal. TIAFOE

During a recent interview, Frances commented

“I’m so excited to play Rafa. We’re going to have some fun, going to have some long rallies. I hope I can play on Laver. That would be cool. That’s just an honor playing on that court.

Obviously playing Laver Cup a couple times. Getting to know Rod a little. Obviously, he’ll be there. Playing arguably one of the greatest tennis players of all time, yeah. Just have some fun out there.”

Frances and Rafa have never played each other so far.

I am one of the main columnists for Tennistonic.com. I have been writing about tennis for the last 4 years. My passion for tennis dates back since the days of the Marat Safin challenging Roger Federer. I am a decent club player, but I have never reached those heights 🙂 Interested in the nextgen. Favorite players: Tsitsipas, Shapovalov, Tiafoe, De Minaur, and Coric. Curious to see what it is going to be with Kyrgios even if I am starting to think that he is a lost cause.
