Sascha Zverev to take over world no.3 from Roger Federer after Australian Open

Sascha will go one step up in the rankings after the Australian Open

Sascha Zverev keeps on rising.

The German is aiming at winning the first slam of his career at the Australian Open, but in the meantime, after reaching the 4th round in Melbourne, he is guaranteed he will take the 3rd spot in the rankings from Roger Federer.

Why Zverev will overtake Federer

If Sascha loses in the next round at the end of this Australian Open, he will have 6475 points while if Federer defends his title, he will have 6420 points.

Zverev was already ranked no.3 back in November 2017.

H2H Zverev vs. Raonic

Sascha will take on Milos Raonic in the 4th round. The H2H is 1-all. This will be their first match on hard courts.
