Serena Williams is definitely one of the funniest players around.
The world no.1 was playing the Hopman Cup against Flavia Pennetta to “eat a bagel” (6-0) in the first set…. and … what’s better than an espresso with a bagel?
Interesting enough Serena managed to have the espresso (well… not in the proper cup to be honest…) and after sipping it she conceded just 3 games to Flavia in the next 2 sets to win 0-6 6-3 6-0.
Serena: I didn’t have my coffee this morning
The world no.1 commented “I am a coffee drinker. I didn’t have mine this morning and I was just feeling it, so I just had to get some coffee into me. I just asked them to get me a shot of espresso. I asked them if it was legal, because I’ve never done it before. But I needed to wake up – it’s just the jetlag. It gets you all the time.”
