According to reports, tennis player Nick Kyrgios utilized the Tesla app to assist law enforcement in apprehending a suspect in the suspected hold-up theft of his high-end vehicle.

According to ABC, which cited court records, the 28-year-old used the app to track and slow down the car while police chased it after it was stolen from a residence in Canberra, Australia’s capital. As per the records, a man allegedly demanded the car keys from Norlaila Kyrgios while brandishing a revolver, according to the broadcaster.

As soon as the man started his car, she summoned her son, who was nearby, and then dialed a police emergency number. When the car entered a school zone, the police pursuit came to an end. Shortly later, a man was detained.

Following his appearance in the Australian Capital Territory Magistrates’ Court on five charges associated with the incident, including aggravated robbery, operating a stolen vehicle, erratic driving, and failing to stop for police, a 32-year-old man was denied bail.
