Novak Djokovic and Denis Shapovalov will compete in the 3rd round of the Australian Open. They are scheduled to play on Saturday at 2.30 pm at the Rod Laver Arena.
Djokovic
The world no.1 is the hot favorite to win the Australian Open. Novak got to the 3rd round after 2 straight sets wins against Mitchell Krueger (6-3 6-2 6-2) and Jo-Wilfried Tsonga (6-3 7-5 6-4). Djokovic looked extremely nervous on both occasions even if he didn’t drop a set. After his win against the Frenchman, Nole conceded that he that some nerves because of his history with Jo-Wilfried that has defeated him already on 6 occasions.
Shapovalov
Ranked no.27, Denis is also having a clear run at the Australian Open after he defeated Pablo Andujar 6-2 6-3 7-6 (3) and Taro Daniel 6-3 7-6 (2) 6-3. The Canadian is displaying rather aggressive tennis that could be extremely useful against Novak Djokovic.
