Carlos Alcaraz and Alexander Zverev played in the final in Madrid last year, and they decided to share the practice court this year before starting their campaign. While Carlitos is the obvious favorite to win the title, Alexander is still finding his best form after his horrible ankle injury at last year’s Roland Garros. in the final in Barcelona to win his 9th career title.Presently, during this year Alcaraz has managed to achieve a composed 23-2 match record. Carlos clinched 3 titles in 2023 in Buenos Aires, Indian Wells and Barcelona. Alcaraz was the finalist in Rio de Janeiro.
Alcaraz will compete next in Rome (Internazionali BNL d’Italia). He will start to play the tournament from the main draw that will commence on the 10th of May.
Alexander Zverev in 2023
Currently the world no.
16, the German played his last match on the 20th of April when he lost to world no.81 Christopher O Connell 7-6(2) 6-4 in the 2nd round in Munich (draw).Currently, during this season Zverev achieved an overall 10-11 record. Alexander Zverev’s best performance of this year was getting to the semifinal in Dubai.
He is also scheduled to play at the French Open (French Open) after Rome. The main draw will start on the 10th of May.
