Eugenie Bouchard supports Emma Raducanu finding some similarities

Eugenie Bouchard empathizes with Emma Raducanu, who has struggled with injuries and her performance since winning the US Open in 2021.

Genie Bouchard And Emma Raducanu

The 29-year-old Eugenie Bouchard claims she can empathize with Emma Raducanu and the criticism she has faced recently. With a career-high ranking of No. 5, Bouchard reached her first Grand Slam final at Wimbledon in 2014.

But after that, Bouchard began to have injury issues, which had a bad effect on her performance and outcomes. When Raducanu won the US Open in 2021, she created tennis history by being the first-ever qualifier to win a Grand Slam. Since then, Raducanu has struggled with injuries and her performance, failing to win any titles.

During a recent interview, Genie Bouchard explained why she can see some similarities with Emma: “I see lots of similarities. I feel for her in that sense. She has a great life, she’s set for life, and she’s had great achievements.

But I can understand a little bit, possibly the pressure, the scrutiny. She tweeted something, posted something about not doing tennis one day and people were like, `Why don’t you go practice.’ I was like, `Oh, my God, I went through that six, eight years ago.’ Haters will hate, you know what I mean?”
