The match was a bit quirky at the very beginning after the world no.1 was broken in the 3rd game (1-2), but that was the end of it as Djokovic broke back immediately to cruise to a 6-3 6-2 6-2 win in 2 hours and 3 minutes.

Nole will have an extremely tough second as he will clash against Jo-Wilfried Tsonga. The Frenchman is currently ranked no.177 as he is still recovering from his knee operation. He received a wildcard to access the main draw before beating Martin Klizan in straight sets in the first round.
