Shapovalov to the Australian Open 2nd round

Good start of the Australian Open for Denis Shapovalov that dismisses the world no.85 Pablo Andujar in straight sets.

The match

Pablo has been playing mainly at Challenger level and on clay. However,  the former world no.32 has a considerable experience that could always prove lethal for youngsters such as Denis.

Shapovalov looked in control and unfazed to get a strong 6-3 6-2 5-3 lead. That happened before suddenly the Canadian lost his focus to win only 2 points in the following 3 games and find himself trailing on an improbable 5-6 scoreline. The Canadian didn’t panic, and he found his groove again. Later he held his service game at love, and he conquered the following breaker to win the match 6-3 6-2 7-6 (3).
