Emma Raducanu is still struggling with her wrist injury, according to the latest pictures published by the Mutua Madrid Open on social media. Emma has been dealing with this issue since the end of last season, and it seems that the pain is not going away. There are some possibilities that she will undergo surgery, but that needs to be confirmed.
Iga Swiatek is on her way
Raducanu had a rather tricky draw in Madrid. After facing a qualifier in the first round, she is expected to clash against the world number 1, Iga Swiatek.

WWWLWWLLWW At the moment ranked no.85, the Brit played her last match on the 18th of April when she was overcome by world no.22 Jelena Ostapenko 6-2 6-1 in the 1st round in Stuttgart (draw).
Currently, during this year the Brit owns a compiled 5-5 match record.
She is also scheduled to play at the Wimbledon (Wimbledon) on the 3rd of July and U.S. Open (U.S. Open) on the 28th of August.
Iga Swiatek in 2023
At the moment ranked no.1, Iga played her last match on the 23rd of April when she overcame world no.2 Aryna Sabalenka 6-3 6-4 in the final in Stuttgart to win her 13th career title.
Until now, during this year the Pole has managed to achieve a 20-4 win-loss record. The Pole has won 2 titles in 2023 in Doha and Stuttgart. Iga got to the final in Dubai.
Emma Raducanu and Iga Swiatek played each other only twice. Their actual head to head record is 2-0 for Swiatek. The last time they squared off, Iga Swiatek won 6-3 6-1 in the 4th round in Indian Wells (BNP Paribas Open) on the 14th of March 2023.
