Holger Rune won a fantastic final in Munich against Botic Van De Zandschulp after saving 4 match points and suffering from a shoulder and ankle injury. Unfortunately, some “tennis fans” didn’t believe Holger’s injuries were genuine, even if it was clear he was struggling.
A troll said on Twitter that Holger was faking calling him a “con artist.” Holger replied, stating that he played too many matches in the last few days and that he doesn’t quit.
This was the exchange.
I played more than 10 matches the past 2 weeks. My body is done right now but still I wanted to fight til the end . It’s a final. I don’t quit
