Djokovic, Osaka scheduled to play on Tuesday evening | Australian Open

Novak and Naomi will start their run in Melbourne on Tuesday

Novak Djokovic and Naomi Osaka

Novak Djokovic and Naomi Osaka will commence their Australian Open on Tuesday evening.

Djokovic

Nole is eager to win his 15th slam at the Australian Open where he has already triumphed on 6 occasions (2008, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2015, and 2016). The world no.1 had a surprisingly difficult run in Daha when he struggled in every match with the exception of the 1st round before he crashed out in the semifinals at the hands of Roberto Bautista Agut. However, the Serb is still considered as the hot favorite to win the Australian Open.

Djokovic will start the tournament against the world no.231 Mitchell Krueger from the US on Tuesday the 15th at 7 pm.

Osaka

Ranked no.4, Naomi is expected to have a good run at the Australian Open after her recent crown at the Flushing Meadows. The Japanese should also be helped by a rather good draw. Naomi will start her run against Magda Linette also on Tuesday soon after Djokovic’s match.
