Novak Djokovic and Serena Williams have been have been named 2014 World Champions by the International Tennis Federation after another great season.
Both ended 2014 as the deserving world no.1. Djokovic has won 7 titles (Wimbledon included) and he has ended up a season as the top guy for the 3rd time in 4 years. Also Serena has won 7 titles (US Open included) and she has received this award for the 5th time.

The American commented “I’m so honored to be named ITF World Champion for the fifth time. This was a year of challenges and triumphs, so to win another Grand Slam and retain my year-end No. 1 ranking is an accomplishment I’m very proud of. I’m grateful to have the support of the tennis community in every way possible. I can’t wait for 2015.”
Bob and Mike Bryan received also the award for the 11th time (in 12 years!) and Sara Errani and Roberta Vinci were also honored for ending the season as world no.1 (doubles).
