Stefanos Tsitsipas starts the official ATP season with a good straight sets win in Sydney on Wednesday.

The match

The world no.15 was opposed to Guido Andreozzi from Argentina (ranked no.80). Everything looked immensely smooth for the Greek that was leading 6-3 5-1 playing fantastic tennis.

It was amazing seeing how easily the Greek was able to strike winning backhands down the line almost anytime he wanted to go for it. However, things got weird soon after when Tsitsipas lost his concentration to drop 8 straight points and 3 consecutive games and find himself 0-30 when serving on a 5-4 scoreline. Eventually, Stefanos kept his cool to hold his serve and win 6-3 6-4 in 74 minutes

The quarters against Seppi

Stefanos will face Andreas Seppi in the quarters. They have never played each other so far.
